The expected hiring range for this position is:
$88,800.00-$116,900.00.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The Human Resources Division is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP). This role oversees HR programs that support the implementation and execution of human resources strategies within assigned Laboratory organizations under general supervision. The HRBP ensures a clear understanding of Laboratory needs and objectives and proactively resolves HR and business issues.
This position provides consultation, facilitation, and execution support in areas such as talent management and employee relations. As a strategic partner, the HRBP serves as a liaison with organizational leaders to deliver HR solutions in partnership with core HR functions.
What your day-to-day as an HRBP at Fermilab will look like:
Develops and implements moderately complex HR processes, policies, programs, and standards that impact achievement of functional results.
Provides consultation, facilitation, and execution for Talent Management including but not limited to succession planning, and performance management.
Provides consultation, facilitation, and execution for the Employee Relations function to include but not limited to investigations, labor, employee programs, and separations.
Advocates HR programs for assigned organizations; communicates the business value of HR initiatives; assists in project management and roll-outs of HR programs across the Laboratory.
Provides support for more complex HR transactions and liaisons to HR core functions such as talent acquisition; talent development; compensation; HR analytics; benefits and well-being; and campus access and experience.
Acts as primary point of contact to assist employees and management team on a wide range of HR topics for assigned medium to large and/or moderately complex Division(s).
Develops and implements communication and presentation materials on a wide range of HR topics.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorβs degree in business administration, human resources, or related field with 5+ years of experience. Masterβs degree preferred. Experience with 3 or more HR functions preferred.
Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Advanced knowledge of core HR functions such as talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, talent development, etc.
Advanced knowledge of federal and state employment and laws, labor laws.
Ability to handle highly sensitive information with absolute confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong written, verbal communication skills; strong presenting, editing and visual design skills.
Ability to operate enterprise business systems including Microsoft Office suite, Workday Human Capital Management System.
