About Helion

We are a fusion power company based in Everett, WA, with the mission to build the world's first fusion power plant, enabling a future with unlimited clean electricity. Our vision is a world with clean, reliable, and affordable energy for everyone.

Since Helion's founding in 2013, we have raised over $1 billion from long-time investors such as Sam Altman, Mithril, and Capricorn Investment Group as well as new investors SoftBank and Lightspeed to propel us forward. Our last prototype, Trenta, completed 10,000 high-power pulses and reached plasma temperatures of 100 million degrees Celsius (9 keV). We are now operating Polaris, our next prototype on the path to the world's first fusion power plant.

This is a pivotal time to join Helion. You will tackle real-world challenges with a team that prizes urgency, rigor, ownership, and a commitment to delivering hard truths – values essential to achieving what no one has before. Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.

What You Will Be Doing:

Guided by the Talent Operations vision, you will be a key part of building the backbone of Helion hiring — the systems, processes, and programs that raise our talent density as we scale! You'll balance program execution with toolchain ownership and work across teams to drive towards hiring goals. Every day, your work will directly impact Helion's ability to hire the people who will put fusion on the grid. You will report to the Talent Operations Manager, and this is an onsite role at our Everett, WA office.

You Will:

  • Maintain and optimize the talent tech stack by resolving issues, configuring workflows, demoing tools, testing new processes
  • Build and maintain programs including referrals, interviewing and assessments, candidate experience, and talent branding
  • Monitor recruiting SLAs, enforce workflows with recruiters and hiring teams, and escalate risks before they impact delivery
  • Leverage tooling to automate repeatable processes and audit data to strengthen the talent attraction toolchain
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that surface hard truths, track performance, and highlight process improvement opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally and lead change management for new tools and processes by documenting, training, and reinforcing adoption

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting operations, HR operations, or related talent program role
  • 2+ year experience working at a high growth start up
  • Hands-on experience with ATS, recruiting tools, and optimizing configurations (Greenhouse or Ashby preferred)
  • Experience piloting AI recruiting tools, benchmarking against baseline processes, and making informed recommendations based on pilot data
