The expected hiring range for this position is:
$99,500.00-$130,900.00.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. About the Role:
Fermilab’s Finance & Procurement Directorate seeks a Senior Information Technology Process Analyst. Under limited supervision, this person acts as the highest-level technical expert in all aspects of business analysis, measurement and reporting, and continual improvement of a specified computing process for a business practice or function. The Senior IT Process Analyst exhibits creative thinking derived from extensive knowledge of emerging industry trends and best practices in at least one highly specialized functional discipline. Oversees specific projects or programs and leads cross-functional teams to address business needs or systems issues.
What your day-to-day as a Senior IT Process Analyst at Fermilab will look like:
In the context of service management, provides consultation, support and oversight for the Lab’s day-to-day computing and operations. Supports services through the entire life cycle, from requirement gathering through delivery.
Lead cross-functional teams in the review of IT processes, prioritizing customer demands, and communicating business or systems issues as appropriate, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Participate in and oversee the delivery of new/changing services. Ensures delivery of all process requirements. Ultimate responsibility for direction and checking of work by less experienced team members.
Identify and document existing and proposed business processes and process flows. Identifies needed changes, proposes and designs solutions.
Coordinate the testing of system changes and process improvements.
Utilize best practices and industry methodologies for continuous improvement and to increase efficiency. Identifies opportunities to improve processes, organization, and services.
Build relationships within the organization, including with senior leaders, to foster strong customer service ties.
Develop, manage, and communicate Key Performance Indicator reports to track progress.
Direct the development, interpretation, and presentation of complex ad-hoc reports and analyses to support executive-level decision-making.
Propose system requirements and design solutions to address short-term and long-term needs and integrates approved solutions into the roadmap of the organization.
Keep abreast of current business practices, emerging industry trends, and related technology. Applies them to the Lab’s day-to-day computing and operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
Essential Competencies and Attributes for Success:
High school diploma with 8+ years of experience in one or more functional areas to address business needs.
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the functional area being assisted with 6+ years of experience preferred.
Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Familiarity with major business applications, detailed knowledge of at least one end-user reporting tool and application system, and subject matter expert in at least one ITIL process.
Proven ability to oversee business requirements gathering, documentation, and traceability, as well as some experience in solution implementations.
Ability to plan, schedule, and direct skilled labor in the performance of project work. Detailed knowledge of at least one Service Management suite.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as ability to work with professional engineers, architects, etc.
