About the Role:
An LBNF/DUNE Deputy Project Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is sought to join Fermilab’s Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) project Team. The LBNF/DUNE Project is hosted by Fermilab in Batavia, IL, but includes participation from universities and laboratories from around the world. The project includes construction of a beamline and near detector at Fermilab (the Near Site) and a large underground detector at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota (the Far Site). The LBNF/DUNE project will design and construct one of the largest proposed neutrino experiments in the world over the next several years.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The LBNF/DUNE Deputy Project Quality Assurance Manager organizationally reports to the LBNF/DUNE Project QA Manager at Fermilab but is responsible to coordinate very closely with the LBNF Near Site Conventional Facilities (NSCF), Far Site Conventional Facilities, Far Detector and Cryogenics and Near Detector Project Managers, Construction Coordinators, and other members subproject team members. Under limited supervision, this position has responsibility to support and provide oversight for the Fermilab QA program at both the LBNF Near Site in Batavia, IL and Far Site in Lead, SD and its implementation by the designated Subcontractors.

This is an onsite position based at Fermilab’s Batavia, IL campus. This is an onsite role, and the candidate must be able to work from our Batavia office.
