As a Capacitor Manufacturing Technician, you will apply your skills to assist in the development and improvement of capacitor production processes for laser driven inertial fusion systems. We are looking for technicians to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality in order to radically impact the future of energy!

Responsibilities
  • Documentation & Configuration Support 
  • Create, maintain, and organize technical documentation including drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions 
  • Support document control and configuration management activities 
  • Assist with data organization and traceability for engineering and manufacturing records 
  • Design & CAD Support 
  • Develop and update CAD drawings for parts, assemblies, and basic capacitor or equipment designs 
  • Support design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly efforts 
  • Assist engineers with design updates and revisions 
  • Manufacturing & Process Development 
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of manufacturing processes 
  • Support equipment setup, basic troubleshooting, and process optimization 
  • Participate in prototype builds and transition to early production 
  • Procurement & Vendor Support 
  • Assist with procurement activities including part sourcing, BOM support, and vendor coordination 
  • Help evaluate manufacturability, lead times, and quality considerations for purchased components 


Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in manufacturing engineering technology or related (bachelor's degree in engineering preferred)  
  • 4+ years in the film capacitor industry  
  • Technical background with experience in manufacturing support, manufacturing processes, or equipment-related roles 
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (Solidworks) for creating and maintaining parts and assemblies 
  • Strong technical documentation skills with attention to detail and organization 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and hands-on technical work 
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced, evolving environment 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take on varied responsibilities 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum 


Desired
  • Bachelors degree in engineering 
  • Experience with capacitor design or electro-mechanical systems 
  • Exposure to ISO, quality systems, or formal manufacturing documentation practices 
  • Prior experience supporting R&D, prototyping, or early-stage manufacturing 
  • Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers

$70,000 - $80,000 a year
Candidates may be considered for other positions at Xcimer Energy, and our actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. The range is published in accordance with Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California Equal Pay Act.

Xcimer operates under a flexible Paid Time Off (ATO) approach. Rather than a fixed number of vacation days, employees are trusted to take the time they need to rest and recharge while meeting the expectations of their role and team. Benefits are available to regular employees, including part-time and fixed-term roles, as well as interns, with eligibility varying by benefit.
